acciodiadem: Can we take a second to fully appreciate this moment? This is right after Lavender kisses Ron. Look at Hermione’s face. Harry’s got that idiotic grin on his face and Hermione looks absolutely devastated. Her and Ron have been fighting with their feelings for years. She probably thought he’d admit it any day now and then all of a sudden BAM another girl out of nowhere. She’s probably thinking about the time in their fourth year when she told him to pluck up the courage and ask her before someone else did. She failed to follow her own advice and now her heart is breaking. This is the first time that she finally admitted her feelings to Harry. It’s a big turning point in the story. Someone knows how she feels now. It’s not something she can hide anymore.
